October TBR

Hello everyone and Happy October!

Last month I had a terrible reading month, it was so bad that I didn’t finish a single book. Fortunately, I’m choosing to be an optimist and tell myself that October has to be better.

Even though I’m terrible at sticking to monthly TBR lists, I’ve decided to make one for this month, and hopefully, I’ll be able to stick to it.

The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli

Last month I managed to read most of The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli as part of Bookish Canadians first ever read-along. Once I finish The Last Namsara, I’m going to dive right into The Caged Queen, because I can’t want to see what happens next.

On another note, if you like, buddy reads, and you’re looking to read The Caged Queen, check out Bookish Canadians on Instagram and feel free to join our October Read-Along.

The Accidental Further Adventures of the 100-Year-Old Man by Jonas Jonasson

I started to read this book last month, and the general life slump made me take a break from it. I’m looking forward to finishing it this month because so far the book has been laugh-out-loud funny and painfully relevant to current events. I’m also looking forward to seeing what shenanigans Allan gets into this time around.

Us Against You by Fredrik Backman

I read Beartown by Fredrik Backman earlier this year, and I loved it. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next in the town of Beartown. I’m also a fan of Backman’s writing, so reading anything by him is an enjoyable experience.

What If It’s Us? by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

I discovered Becky Albertalli earlier this year, and I fell in love with her writing. I pre-ordered this book, and I’m impatiently waiting for it to arrive. I know that I’ll have a difficult time focusing at work once I receive my delivery notification email because I’ll want to rush back home and dive into this book.

What are you planning on reading this month? Let me know in the comments!
