I can’t believe November is already here and that there are only two months left in 2018. I’ve accepted that I’m not going to meet my 2018 reading goals, but I am optimistic that November is going to be a good reading month. I don’t know if I’ll stick to my TBR, but I’m going to try because I’m looking forward to reading all four of the books on my list.
Frostblood by Elly Blake
I had the opportunity to meet Elly Blake in August, and it made me want to read the Frostblood saga. For some reason, I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet, but fortunately, it was picked as November book of the month by Bookish Canadians. If you haven’t heard of Bookish Canadians yet, we’re a bookstagram account dedicated to all things Canadian and bookish. Every month we host a read-along and this month we have some fun discussions planned. If Frostblood has been on your TBR, I recommend you check out Bookish Canadians and join in on the fun!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
One of my best friends and I use to have a monthly book club, and we decided to start it up again with this book. I’ve heard great things about this book, and I’m hoping that it lives up to the hype.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
My other best friend and I decided that we should start a bi-monthly book club and we picked Crazy Rich Asians as our first pick. We don’t know what we’re going to do for our discussion, but it looks like wine and snacks are in our future.
The Defective by Ryan Jones
The Defective is a Ryan Jones’s debut novel, and it sounds amazing. If you haven’t heard of this book yet, it’s a mix of sci-fi and dystopian with some romance thrown in. I went to the book launch, and from what I heard, the writing and story sound amazing.
