ABC Book Challenge – A

Hello Everyone!

I saw this challenge on Lost in Pages’ blog, and I decided that it would be a fun challenge to try.

For this challenge, every week you have a different letter of the alphabet, and you list memorable books you’ve read and books that are still on your TBR that start with that letter.

I’ve decided that for this challenge, that if a title starts with the words “A” or “The” that I’ll look at the second word to categorize it.

Memorable Reads that Start with “A”

img_1625Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll: This book is a classic, and I remember loving it when I read it in elementary school. It’s a book that I hope to re-read at some point, and I’m hoping that I like it just as much as I did.

img_3061All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr: I picked up this book because I studied World War Two in University and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful book, and I am so glad I decided to read it.

Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery: This is a Canadian classic and Anne is such a memorable character. I’m hoping that Bookish Canadians chooses this book as their book of the month sometime soon, so I have an excuse to re-read this wonderful story.

img_3142-1The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas: I’ve only read two books in the Throne of Glass series, and this book tore my heart out and stomped on it. It’s actually left me scared to carry on with the series because I don’t know if I’m prepared to deal with more emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback yet.

All My Friends are Superheroes by Andrew Kaufman: This short little book is one of my favourites. I read it years ago on a flight from Edmonton to Vancouver, and I find myself re-reading it every few years. If you haven’t heard of it, I recommend checking out this quirky little book.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green: I almost didn’t include this book on my list because I have a difficult relationship with John Green. I decided to include it because An Abundance of Katherines is my favourite John Green book, even though I have a feeling that I wouldn’t be a fan if I decided to re-read it.
