Hello everyone and Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a good day today and that they were able to start their week off on a positive note.
This week I’m back with the next letter of the alphabet for the ABC Book Challenge. This week I’m talking about books that start with the letter “F” and apparently I’ve read a lot more books than I realized. If you’ve missed any of my previous posts, you can check them out here: A, B, C, D, & E.
Memorable Reads that Start with “F”
Fables by Bill Willingham: This is technically a series of graphic novels, but it’s my latest obsession, so I had to include it on this list. I picked up Fables after Chaotic Good by Whitney Gardner inspired me to visit a comic book store, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Fables features characters from a bunch of different fairy tales that have all been forced to leave their homelands and now live in New York. The series is a bit dark, but it’s a lot of fun, and I don’t know what I’ll do with myself once I finish reading the entire series.
Frostblood by Elly Blake: I’m technically not done this book yet, but I’m so close to being finished that I decided to include it on this list. Frostblood is amazing, and the only reason why it’s taken me so long to finish is that I haven’t had much time to read lately. If it were up to me, I would take a couple of days off work to binge read this entire series.
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella: I decided to include Finding Audrey on this list because I liked the main character. I don’t remember all the details from this book, but I do remember thinking that it did a good job portraying mental health issues. I also remember liking the parents in this book, but I can’t remember why.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: If you’ve read my blog before, you know that I’m obsessed with Fangirl. Cath and Levi are one of my favourite couples, and Levi is completely swoon-worthy. The other reason why I love this book is that I’m able to relate to Cath. I read this book when I was in University, and it was a reminder that even though I was awkward as hell in my first year of University, it was okay, and things got better.
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson: If you aren’t familiar with The Bloggess, I highly recommend you check her out. She’s funny, relatable, and quirky in the best way possible. Furiously Happy is all these things and so much more, and if you’re looking for a memoir that deals with mental health and will make you laugh, this is the book for you.
