Hello Everyone!
Today I decided to do the weather in books tag. I originally saw this tag on Pages Below the Vaulted Sky and it looked like a fun tag to do!
Sunshine: A Book That Made You Smile
For this question, I’m going to pick My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins. This book is my first read of 2019, and I thought it was super cute and even though I didn’t like all the stories, they all made me smile.
Rain: A You Couldn’t Put Down
The last book that I couldn’t put down was Chaotic Good by Whitney Gardner. I loved the characters and the storyline so much that I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. It was one of those books where I wish it were appropriate to skip work because you were up too late reading.
Wind: A Book That Blew You Away
One book that blew me away was The Deal of a Lifetime by Fredrik Backman. The reason why I picked this book is that I was blown away by how such a short story could make me feel so many emotions and how it could make me cry so many tears.
Hurricane: A Tragic Book
One of the most tragic books I’ve ever read was The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. If you’ve read this book, you know that it’s a heartbreaking and tragic story. If you haven’t read this book yet, I recommend that you get yourself a box of tissues and start reading.
Blizzard: A Book You Had High Expectations For
For this question, I’m going to pick Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I had high expectations for this book because so many people on Bookstagram love it, but I couldn’t get into it. I don’t know if it was the characters or the storyline, but either way, I ended up disappointed.
Tornado: A Book You Didn’t Like at First but Ended Up Loving
It took me a little while to get into Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan, but once I figured out who all the characters were and how they were related, I got into it, and I ended up loving it.
I’m not going to tag anyone specific to do this tag, but feel free to join in on the fun!
It IS a fun tag to do! Love your answers! I felt exactly the same way about Red Rising. I’d hoped for something more than Hungers Games 2.0, and Darrow just doesn’t feel like realistic character to me. And I ugly cry every time I read The Book Thief too. 😀
Thank you! I agree 100%, it was too much like the Hunger Games
Wow! This is a cool tag! Ya, I think the Book Thief was one of the most tragic I’ve read in a while too.
