Hello everyone and happy Sunday!
How is everyone doing today? I’m currently staying indoors and trying to avoid the cold and the snow that made an unwelcome appearance yesterday. It’s not that I hate the snow, it’s more so that because we haven’t had snow in a long time, I wasn’t mentally prepared for it.
Reading Updates
This week I have lots of bookish updates to share with you!
I managed to finish Scythe by Neal Schusterman and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo this week, bringing the total number of books read this year to three. I ended up enjoying Scythe a lot more than I thought I would, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was phenomenal. If all goes as planned, and if I a can get my procrastination under control, I’m hoping to have reviews of these books up soon.
This week I also decided to set up my Net Galley profile, so I can start requesting ARCs! One of my goals this year is to review more books and to read more ARCs. To start, I picked three books from the read now section to download onto my Kindle. The first book I picked is The Strange Journey of Alice Pendelbury by Marc Levy which is being released on February 5, 2019; the second book is Trophy Life by Lea Geller which is being released on April 9, 2019; and lastly, I picked The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes by Ruth Hogan which is being released on June 11, 2019. I’m looking forward to reading all three of these books, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you.
In other bookish news, I started reading Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson this week. I’ve only read a few chapters so far, but I’m already looking forward to reading the sequel The Vanishing Stair which comes out on Tuesday!
Life Updates
Like usual, I don’t have very many life updates this week. Work dragged this week, but I think that has more to do with the cold and gloomy weather than anything else.
How about you? What have you been up to this week? Let me know!
