Five Sequels That I Need to Get To

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Bionic Bookworm! Each week there’s a different discussion topic, and they’re usually a lot of fun.

I wasn’t planning on participating in Top Five Tuesday this week, but when I saw that this weeks prompt was sequels I need to get to, I decided that I had to join in. As a reader, one of the things that I struggle with is sequels. I don’t know if I secretly have commitment issues, or maybe I just don’t want things to end, but I am the worst at reading sequels. Below are five sequels that I really need to get around to reading soon.

img_5649Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han: How have I not finished reading this trilogy yet? I adored the first two books, and even though I have the third book sitting on my shelf, I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. I need more Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky in my life, and I think I might read this book before the next movie comes out on Netflix.

img_5904Thunderhead by Neal Schusterman: I read Scythe earlier this year, and I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected. I was planning on reading Thunderhead in February, and then I pushed it back to March, and now it’s almost May, and I haven’t touched it yet. At this point, I think that I’ll read this closer to November when The Toll is scheduled to be released.

img_4513Cress by Marissa Meyer: Once again, how have I not read this book yet? I loved Cinder and Scarlet, and even though I have Cress sitting on my shelf, I just haven’t picked it up yet. This is a book that I need to get to soon because I’ve heard so many people rave about how Cress is their favourite book in the series.

img_3770Legendary by Stephanie Garber: This is the only book on this list where I can explain why I haven’t read it yet. I read Caraval shortly after it came out, and then when Legendary was released, I wasn’t in the mood for a fantasy read. I eventually decided that I was going to wait for Finale to come out, so I could read the entire trilogy at once.

img_5454The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett: I read The Colour of Magic two years ago while I was on the train heading to Toronto to write the Paralegal licensing exam. I enjoyed the book so much that my friend bought me The Light Fantastic to read on the train ride home. Needless to say, I didn’t read it, and I still haven’t gotten around to reading it. I hope that I manage to find the time to read it soon, because I want to dive deeper into the Discworld universe, and get to know all of the characters better.

What are some sequels that you want to read? Are there any on my list that you think I should get to soon?
