May TBR

Hello Everyone!

How is everyone doing today?

I can’t believe that it’s already May! It feels like this year is flying by!

This month my TBR is a mix of sci-fi, fantasy, and contemporaries. Three of the books on my list are 2019 releases, two are buddy reads, and one of them is a reread. I also have a couple of ARCs that I should read this month, but I didn’t include them on the list, because I’m not sure off the top of my head when they’re being released.

hot dog girlHot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan: I am so excited to read this book! Yesterday I got a notification that my pre-order shipped, and I’m hoping that it will be in my mailbox when I get home from work. I’ve heard so many good things about this book, and I can’t wait to read about Lou’s summer at the amusement park.

img_6152Renegades by Marissa Meyer: This month I’m hoping to read Renegades with one of my best friends. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this book, and I’m looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. My only concern with having this book on my TBR is that it’s not very portable, so I’ll only be able to read it at home.

Red White and Royal BlueRed, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston: This is another debut that I’m looking forward to reading. I’ve heard so many good things about this book, and from the description, it sounds amazing. Fortunately, I received an ARC of this book from Net Galley, so I’ll be diving into it soon.

img_5901Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett: I read Good Omens a few years ago, and I loved it. I’m hoping to reread it this month in preparation for the TV show, which I am so excited for.

again but betterAgain, but Better by Christine Riccio: This is another debut book that I’m looking forward to reading. It sounds fantastic, and I love that it’s about a girl who is in college. I also received an ARC of this book from Net Galley, so I should be reading it in the next few days.

619eb022-12ca-4015-9688-905808402d24Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff: This is my May book club pick, and I can’t wait to see what the hype is about. Even though the book itself is massive, it looks like a quick read because of the different formatting.

What books are on your May TBR? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I finished Again, but Better recently and enjoyed it. It’s not my new favorite book of all time or anything, but I appreciated reading books involving twenty-somethings, which almost never happens.

  2. Oh I’m also planning on reading Renegades 🙂
I hope you will love Illuminae, It is one of my faves!
