First Line Friday – Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich

First Line Friday Banner

Hello Everyone!

First Line Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Hoarding Books where you post the first line of a book.

This week, I’m spotlighting the next book on my TBR, which is Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich. This book has been on my TBR since it was released because I love the soundtrack for this musical. Unfortunately, other books kept on getting in the way, but now I’m finally picking it up for one of my O.W.L. classes.

Have you read this book or seen the musical? Is it on your TBR? Let me know in the comments! And if you’re interested in joining in on the First Line Friday fun, check out Hoarding Books for all of the details and to add your blog to the list!

  1. On my blog, I’m sharing the first line from Misunderstood Meg by Jo Grafford. Here, I will share the first line in chapter 24 of my current read, Dreams in Deadwood by Kari Trumbo. Jennie scanned the stack of gowns, towels, sheets, nightclothes, napkins, curtains, and other things laying on her side of the bed. Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I’m sharing the first line from The Englisch Daughter by Cindy Woodsmall and Erin Woodsmall on my blog. This book is FANTASTIC! I’m currently on chapter 17 so I’ll share a line from there.
“Roy glanced at the clock on the wall of the social services’ private meeting room.”
Hope you have a great weekend!
