Why Did You Start Blogging? & Why Have You Kept Blogging?

I started my blog way back in 2017 because I felt like it was something I was supposed to do if I had a Bookstagram account. I realized that this wasn’t the case, and I didn’t post very much during 2017 and 2018 because I really didn’t enjoy writing reviews.

Sometime last year, I got inspired, and I started to post again. I found inspiration in weekly meme posts like Top Five Tuesday, WWW Wednesday, and various book tags, and I started to enjoy it. The reason why I’m still blogging is that I love it, I love books, and because I adore this community and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

What Is Your Favorite Type of Blog Post to Write?

I love writing list posts. I like seeing the topic, staring at my bookshelves, and picking the perfect books to fit the prompt.

What Are Your Top Three Favorite Blog Posts You Wrote?

Would You Rather Book Tag– I loved making my own questions for this prompt.

Top 5 Books that Made Me Laugh– This book was featured as the post of the day on The Write Reads, and I loved sharing funny books with people during this difficult time and hearing their recommendations.

Top 5 Autumn Reads – Autumn is my favourite season, and I had a lot of fun picking out the books for this post.

What Are Some of Your Favorite Things to Do to Relax?

The obvious answer to this question is reading, which is something that I love to do, and it’s usually relaxing. In the warmer months, I like to spend time in the backyard with a glass of wine and my plants. In the colder months, I like to spend time inside with a glass of wine and a charcuterie board. 

What Are Three of Your Favorite Things?

Three of my favourite things are books, tea, and Scamper Cat.

What Are Your Proudest Blogging Moments?

Every time my blog hits any sort of milestone, I feel a sense of pride because it’s like my baby is growing up a little. Some moments that come to mind are the first time I was approved for an ARC on Net Galley, the first time I was mailed a physical ARC (I still don’t know how to get those), being asked to be a part of a blog tour, and reaching 400 followers.

What Are Your Hobbies Outside of Blogging?

Other than blogging (and reading), some of my hobbies are baking, gardening, and drinking wine.

Describe Your Personality in Three Words

I’m tempted to use typical Ravenclaw words to answer this question, but I’ll go with introverted, organized, and observant.  

What Are Your Top Three Pet Peeves?

People who follow and then unfollow you shortly thereafter, lying about easily verifiable things, and Christmas music being played before December.

What’s Something Your Followers Don’t Know About You?

This might not be surprising, because I may have mentioned it before, but I’m a huge country music fan. I also had a major pop-punk phase that lasted years, and on occasion, I go down a dangerous pop-punk rabbit hole and start listening to all the classics.
