Stacking the Shelves – 9 May 2020

Stacking the Shelves Banner

Hello Everyone!

In the past few weeks, I’ve seen a few people participating in Stacking the Shelves, and it looks like a lot of fun, and I wanted to join in.

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality. Each week you share the books that you’ve added to your shelves, whether they’re physical books, ebooks, ARCs, etc.

Physical Books

I didn’t add any physical books to my shelves this week! I do have a few on the way, so next week, I’ll have some new books to post.

Net Galley

I was planning on avoiding Net Galley for a while because I really need to get my ratio under control, but then I decided that I wanted to start reviewing picture books. The reason for the sudden interest in picture books is because a few months ago, my boyfriend’s sister told me that I’m going to be an Aunt, and plan on showering this child in literature. I haven’t quite figured out how I’m going to do my picture book reviews, but I snagged these five books from the read now section:

Plastic Soup by Judith Koppens and Andy Engel

Lost Beast, Found Friend by Josh Trujillo

Leo’s Monster by Marcus Pfister

Lemon Child by Nele Brönner

Princess Jill Never Sits Still by Margarita del Mazo

Edelweiss

I’m supposed to be avoiding ARCs right now, but then I discovered how to access download now titles on Edelweiss. I then discovered that a bunch of titles that Berkley denied me on Net Galley, were available for download now on Edelweiss, and I went a bit crazy with my newfound power.

Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson

Paris is Always a Good Idea by Jenn McKinlay

Vanessa Yu’s Magical Paris Tea Shop by Roselle Lim

Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory

Not Like the Movies by Kerry Winfrey

How about you? What have you added to your shelves this week?
