Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Bionic Bookworm! If you’re interested in participating, check out her wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This month, Shanah at Top 5 Tuesday is taking a much-deserved break! That means that there aren’t any prompts this month, which is okay because I’ve missed a few weeks. I decided to go through the Top 5 Tuesday archives and pick out five topics that I wish I would have done, to share with you during June. This week, I’m talking about my Top 5 Fictional Friendships.

Dumbledore’s Army from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling: When I think about my favourite fictional groups of friends, I immediately think about Dumbledore’s Army from Harry Potter. I love the friendship between Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, and Luna, and I loved reading about them coming together to teach other students the skills they needed in the fight against Voldemort.

Stevie’s Friend Group from Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson: Truly Devious is one of my favourite series, and the main reason why I love it is because of the characters. Stevie, Nate, Janelle, and Vi are such a unique group of people. I liked how they supported each other and their different passions, and how they helped Stevie with the insane mystery that was unfolding all around them. I also liked David, even though I don’t know if I should include him in the friend group, because it was a bit of a black sheep.

Ollie and the Girls from Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales: I read this book earlier this year, and one of the things that stood out to me was how Juliette, Lara, and Niamh accepted Ollie into their friend group with no questions asked. Even though the girls had their mean girl moments to each other, when it mattered, they were there for each other. I also liked how Ollie was able to have a unique friendship with each of them, and how together they helped each other grow and deal with their issues.

The Medieval Times Employees from The Life and (Medieval) Times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton: I read this book last month, and I loved the friendship between the characters who worked at the medieval-themed restaurant. I loved reading about Kit, Layla, Penny, Alex, Mags, Lizzy, Jett, and Chris, all coming together to destroy the patriarchy and gender restrictions for knights at the restaurant. Their training sessions sounded like so much fun, and I loved reading about them.

The Animals in the Hundred Acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne: Winnie the Pooh is one of my favourite childhood stories, and as an adult, I still love all of the characters. I love the friendship between Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore. I like that they’re there for each other, and they help each other get through their problems and support each other, even when one of them isn’t too fun to be around.
