First Line Friday – The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler

First Line Friday Banner

Hello Everyone!

First Line Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Hoarding Books where you post the first line of a book.

This week I’m spotlighting another 2020 release that I haven’t read yet, but I swear I’ll get to soon! The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler is a romance novel that takes place in Alaska, and it features an enthusiastic tourist and a grumpy local. This book sounds fantastic, and I can’t wait to be done with my Net Galley queue so I can read this one!

The First Line(s)

“The bad eagle soared overhead, turning lazy circles against a backdrop of rich forested Alaskan mountainside.”

The Tourist Attraction

About the Book (From Goodreads):

When Graham Barnett named his diner The Tourist Trap, he meant it as a joke. Now he’s stuck slinging reindeer dogs to an endless string of resort visitors who couldn’t interest him less. Not even the sweet, enthusiastic tourist in the corner who blushes every time he looks her way…

Two weeks in Alaska isn’t just the top item on Zoey Caldwell’s bucket list. It’s the whole bucket. One look at the mountain town of Moose Springs and she’s smitten. But when an act of kindness brings Zoey into Graham’s world, she may just find there’s more to the man than meets the eye…and more to love in Moose Springs than just the Alaskan wilderness.

Have you read this book? Is it on your TBR? Let me know in the comments! And if you’re interested in joining in on the First Line Friday fun, check out Hoarding Books for all of the details and to add your blog to the list!

I’m currently on chapter 16 so I will share the first line from there.
“The Joanna’s loss was a blow to Severn’s economy, that of her crew a sorrow, but Captain Kelly’s death struck deepest.”
I hope you have a great weekend filled with relaxing reading time! 🙂❤️📚
