Hello Everyone!
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality. Each week you share the books that you’ve added to your shelves, whether they’re physical books, ebooks, ARCs, etc.
It’s been a few weeks since I did a Stacking the Shelves post, so I’m going to try to mention everything I picked up since my last post.
Physical Books
Earlier this month, a family member made a comment about “being productive” and “not reading all day,” and I took that as a sign that I should be productive by ordering more books, specifically books by Black authors and LGBTQ+ books. This probably wasn’t the most responsible decision, but it made me incredibly happy, and I added some titles that I’m quite excited about to my shelves. I bought:
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender
This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story by Kacen Callender
Stay Gold by Tobly McSmith
The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper
A Love Hate Thing by Whitney D. Grandison
You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson
Net Galley/Edelweiss
I received an ARC of The Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar on Net Galley, which is part of an upcoming blog tour hosted by the amazing The Write Reads! I’ve heard great things about this book, and I’m excited to be part of this tour.
eBooks
I don’t think I added any eBooks to my collection since my last post!
How about you? Did you add anything to your shelf this week?
I added one children’s book, Franky the Friendly Flamingo by Wanda Luthman; one grown up book, Love Your Enemies: How Decent People can Save America from the Culture of Contempt by Arthur C. Brooks; and finished reading The War for Kindness: Building Empathy in a Fractured World by Jamil Zaki (excellent read!).
I love your Stacking the Shelves post idea!
I got The Rise of Kyoshi and Tomie today 💜💜
