Hello everyone!

This month, Shanah at Top 5 Tuesday is taking a much-deserved break! That means that there aren’t any prompts this month, which is okay! I did some brainstorming, and this month is going to be a bit of a mid-year check-in. This week, I’m talking about some of my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2020. So far, 2020 has been a great year for new releases, and there are five books that I’m looking forward to that are coming out before the year is done.
Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall (July 7, 2020): This book came out last week, but I’m still including it on this list because it is the second half of 2020. What drew me to this book was the cover, and then the description made it jump onto my TBR. The description of this book kind of gives me Red, White and Royal Blue vibes, which makes me excited to read it. It also features fake dating, which, when it’s done well, is a trope that I need in my life.
Bookish and the Beast by Ashley Poston (August 4, 2020): This book was supposed to come out during the first half of 2020, but then got pushed back to August due to the pandemic. The Once Upon a Con series is one of my favourites and Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite fairy tales, which means that this book will be fantastic! I was fortunate enough to receive an eARC of this book, which I’m hoping to start later this week, and I can’t wait!
The Switch by Beth O’Leary (August 18, 2020): I believe this book came out earlier this year in the UK, but it’s not being released in Canada until August. I read The Flatshare in January, and I fell in love with Beth O’Leary! The premise of this book sounds fun, cute, and possibly romantic, which is something that I find intriguing. I’ve also seen some excellent reviews of this book so far, which makes me even more excited to read this one.
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman (September 8, 2020): When I saw that Fredrik Backman had a new book coming out this year, it immediately jumped onto my TBR. So far, I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Backman, and I hope that I love this book too. The premise sounds a bit quirky, which is something that I think Backman does well, so I think this book will be a mix of fun and serious.
Love & Olives by Jenna Evans Welch (November 10, 2020): This book was also supposed to come out during the first half of 2020, but it got pushed back due to the pandemic. I absolutely adored Love & Gelato and Love & Luck, and I’m sure that I’m going to fall in love with Love & Olives when it’s released. This book takes place in Greece, which is a place that I would love to visit one day, and I’m sure this book will give me major wanderlust.
Definitely excited about Anxious People!!
I hope you will enjoy all of them!
