Hello Everyone!
Today is Thursday, which means its tag day, and today I’m doing the Anonymous Bookaholics Tag! I was tagged to do this tag a few weeks ago by the very lovely Hooked with Books! I’m not sure who originally created this tag, but I want to give whoever it is a shoutout, because this tag is a lot of fun!
1) What do you like about buying new books?
What’s not to like about buying new books? They look good, they smell good, they’re like tickets to go on a new adventure. The only downside is the slight bit of guilt I feel when I realize how out of control my TBR is, but that’s okay!
2) How often do you buy new books?
This is an excellent question! On average, maybe once a month? But it really depends on how many amazing new releases I hear about and then impulse buy.
3) Bookstore or online book shopping: which do you prefer?
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer online book shopping. I love bookstores and I almost always buy something when I go into a bookstore, but if there’s a specific book I want I usually just order it online. I love being able to scroll through books online and clicking the magical “add to cart” button and then having the books show up at my door a few days later.
4) Do you have a favourite bookshop?
My two favourite bookshops are both used bookshops. I absolutely adore Juniper Books in Windsor and Old Goat Books in Waterloo. There’s something magical about walking into these stores that are jammed full of books and searching for hidden treasures.
5) Do you pre-order books?
I pre-order books all the time! On Tuesday, I think I pre-ordered seven books (three of them are for my Dad) and I can’t wait for them to arrive. My favourite thing about pre-ordering books is that I tend to forget when they’re supposed to arrive, so I periodically come home to surprise book mail.
6) Do you have a monthly buying limit?
No I do not. I probably should, but I don’t have that much self-control.
7) How big is your wish list?
I’m sure that if I took the time to write out a wish list, I’d be shocked by how large it is. There are a few series of books that I’d like to own in full, there’s also a pile of historical fiction books that I would love to own at some point.
8) Which three books from your wish list do you wish to own right now?
I really don’t know. I’ve spent the past few days thinking about all of the craft supplies that I want to buy so I can start making cards and as a result my brain is currently filled with dancing circle punches and gel pens.
I’m tagging…

Great answers Ashlee 😁 x
Loved reading your answers to this! “Add to cart” is fun to click haha and receiving new books are some of the best gifts ever. SAME my wish list is HUGE, but oh well I’ll just try borrowing the ebook version or something. Gel pens are so nice to write with *high five*
