Hello Everyone!
Today is Thursday, which means it’s a book tag day! This week I’m doing the Autumn Reading Tag. I was tagged to do this tag by the very lovely Danni, and if you haven’t checked out Danni’s blog, you should stop what you’re doing and do that now! This tag was created by Jenniely, and you should check out their blog as well!
Hot Chocolate – what is your comfort book?
My comfort book is probably The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Even though a lot of bad things happen to the characters in this book, I find comfort knowing that Arthur Dent is there in his housecoat, desperately wanting a cup of tea.
Pumpkin Carving – what is your favourite creative outlet?
If I exclude all of my book-related hobbies, my favourite creative outlet is card making. I started making handmade cards in September, and so far, I’m really enjoying it.
Falling Leaves – changes that appear bad but you secretly love?
I don’t know if this is a change that appears bad, but I enjoy it when the weather starts to get colder. I don’t necessarily like the cold, but I like staying inside and being cozy, and the colder weather gives me an excuse to do that.
Pumpkin Spiced Latte – something you love that others tend to judge
Country music! I grew up listening to it, and I have been judged for it my entire life. I remember at my elementary school graduation, I won an award, and when the teacher was presenting the award, she used the phrase “unfortunate taste in country music” while introducing me. This was totally unnecessary, and it took me a very long time to get over this moment of bullying.
Bonfire Night – what makes you explode with joy?
Cats fill me up with so much joy. I love their paws and their personalities. I think they’re insanely intelligent animals and interacting with Scamper cat is usually the highlight of my day.
Fright Night – favourite scary book or film
I don’t do scary, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with Coraline by Neil Gaiman. The book is creepy, but the film is terrifying, and I don’t plan on watching it again.
Halloween candy – favourite thing to eat
I’m going to cheat and pick one savoury and one sweet food for this question. For savoury, my favourite thing is pasta, and for sweet, I’m going to pick brownies.
Scarves – your autumn ‘must have’ accessory
I don’t really put much thought into accessories, but if I had to pick something, it would be a knit cardigan or a cozy sweater.
Fire – a book or film that burns your soul
What does this question even mean? Is burning your soul a good or a bad thing? I know that warms the soul is supposed to have something to do with comfort, but burning seems a bit more extreme and dangerous.
Toffee apples – a book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside
The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal. I don’t know what I was expecting when I went into it, but I definitely wasn’t expecting there to be sections ripped straight from an episode of Criminal Minds.

I think a lot of you have already done this tag, so I’m going to leave it open and tag anyone who wants to do it!
