5 On My TBR – 2021 Releases

Hello Everyone!

5 on my TBR is a weekly meme that’s hosted by Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Each Monday, there’s a different prompt, and the goal is to list five books on your TBR that fit into the prompt.

This week’s 5 on my TBR prompt is 2021 releases. This is a topic that I’m going to talk about a few times this month, and today I am focusing on 2021 romance releases. I’m a sucker for an illustrated cover, and there are some gorgeous looking books coming out in 2021. Three of the books on this list are by authors that I’ve read before and love, and the other two are books that sound fantastic.

The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon (January 26, 2021) – This book is Rachel Lynn Solomon’s adult romantic comedy debut, and it sounds fantastic. I haven’t read any of Rachel Lynn Solomon’s books before, but she’s an author that I’ve wanted to read for a while. This book’s premise sounds like a lot of fun, and it sounds like it falls into the enemies-to-lovers category, which is the best category.

A Lady’s Formula for Love by Elizabeth Everett (February 9, 2021) – This is Elizabeth Everett’s debut novel. It looks like it falls into the historical romance category, and it sounds like such a fun book. Based on the description, it appears that the main character is a bit of a badass, which is something that I love to see. So far, the reviews for this book are very positive, which makes me even more excited to eventually get my hands on it.

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle (April 6, 2021) You Deserve Each Other was my favourite romance novel of 2020, and I desperately want to read more books by Sarah Hogle. This book features a sunshiny character and a grumpy character, which is the best combination! If this book is half as enjoyable as You Deserve Each Other, it’s likely to make it into my 2021 top ten!

Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne (April 13, 2021) The Hating Game is one of my favourite books, and I need this book in my life. What makes me most excited about this book is that it features two meddlesome old ladies who like to torment their assistant. It also sounds like this book falls into the enemies-to-lovers category, which, as I said before, is the best category.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (June 1, 2021)Red, White and Royal Blue quickly turned Casey McQuiston into one of my favourite authors. Everything that I have heard about this book makes me want to fall in love with it. It features two characters who fall in love on the subway, which sounds like such a cute idea. I think it also features a bit of time travel, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that works in this book.

How about you? Are there any romance books that you’re looking forward to in 2021?
