Top 5 Bookish Resolutions

Resolutions Banner

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Bookish Resolutions, which is the only kind of resolution that I typically set! This year, three of my goals are reading based, one of them is blogging based, and my final goal is about stats and followers. Like most years, I’m not going to obsess over these goals, but hopefully, they’ll go well.

Read 52 Books – Last year, I set my Goodreads goal to 26 books, and I ended up reading 56 books in total. This year, I decided to be a bit more ambitious with my goal and set it to 52 books. I’m hoping that I don’t hit any major reading slumps this year and that I can hit my goal without Goodreads shaming me too much.

TBR Tackle ChallengeThis year, I am hosting a TBR Tackle Challenge with MyStoryNook and The Artsy_Bookworm88 on Instagram. The goal of the challenge is to read the books that you already own, which is something that I need to work on. Every month we’re setting at least five prompts to help people narrow down what they want to read, and hopefully, it will result in some TBRs getting under control. If you’re interested in joining the TBR Tackle Challenge, here’s the link to the info post on Instagram!

Get to 80% on Net GalleyNet Galley is a dangerous place that I need to stay away from. I have far too many outstanding ARCs that I need to review, and I am determined to reach the mythical 80% mark by the end of this year. I’m hoping that if I stay away from browsing and stick to books sent to me directly from the publisher or for blog tours, that I should be able to achieve this goal.

Post Consistently – This is a goal that I set every year, but I tend to hit a posting slump partway through the year. This year, I’m hoping that I can avoid that, and I want to try to post at least twice a week. I’d also like to try to post at least two book reviews a month, but we’ll see if that happens.

Stat and Followers I don’t usually set stat and follower goals, but I thought it might be fun to set some this year. In 2021, I’m hoping to his 2500 followers on Bookstagram, 1000 WordPress followers, and 1500 Twitter followers. This is the goal that I’m least focused on because I generally don’t pay too much attention to my follower count, but I think I’m going to track how it changes this year.
