Hello everyone!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books That You Will Definitely Read This Year. There are a lot of books that I didn’t get to in 2020 that I am determined to read in 2021. I decided to narrow down the list to five by focusing on romance novels with illustrated covers, which is one of my favourite genres.

Well Met by Jen DeLuca – This book has been on my monthly TBR a few times since I bought it, but I haven’t actually read it yet. I either get distracted by other books or have a slumpy month and don’t read much of anything. I picked this book for the first book in a trilogy prompt for the TBR Tackle Challenge, but I’m not sure if I’m going to get to it. If I don’t get to it this month, I’m going to include it on my February TBR and hope for the best.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang – How have I not read this book yet? This is one of the first books I purchased after I fell in love with The Hating Game, but I still haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. I’ve heard so many good things about this book, and I’m excited to read it eventually. I’ve also heard that the Autism representation in this book, which makes me even more excited to check this off my TBR.

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams – This series looks like so much fun, and I am determined to read it this year. If you aren’t familiar with this book, it features a secret book club full of alpha males who turn to romance novels to fix their relationships. This premise promises to be funny, and I love reading books that make me laugh. I don’t know when I’m going to read this book, but I will fit it in before the year is over.

Not the Girl You Marry by Andie J. Christopher – I picked up this book on what turned out to be my last trip to a bookstore before the world shut down. In theory, I should have read this book when I was laid off from work, but I was distracted by all of the other unread books on my shelf. Like the other books on this list, this book sounds like a lot of fun. I’m also looking forward to reading it because it’s been compared to How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, which is a great movie.

Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore – I haven’t read a lot of historical romance, but it’s a genre that I want to read more of, and this book looks like the perfect place to start. This book features what sounds like a badass leading lady, which makes me very excited to read it. The synopsis also gives me a bit of an enemies-to-lovers vibe, which is something that I need more of in my life. I also adore the covers of this series, and I want an excuse to buy the third book when it comes out later this year.
