The Anonymous Bookaholics Tag

Bookaholic Tag Banner

Hello Everyone!

Today is Thursday, which means it’s tag day! A few weeks ago, I was tagged by Danni at For Books Sake to do the Anonymous Bookaholics Tag! I can’t figure out who originally created this tag, so if you know, let me know so I can give them credit.

1 – What do you like about buying new books?

Since going to the bookstore isn’t an option right now, I like the excitement of coming home to packages. I also like the thrill of knowing that there’s a new story that I can dive into and get lost in.

2 – How often do you buy new books?

In 2021, I’m trying to cut back on my book buying and only buy books every few months. Realistically, this isn’t going to happen, and I’ll probably be ordering books at least once a month.

3 – Bookstore or online book shopping: which do you prefer?

I prefer bookstores because I like being able to walk around, get distracted by pretty covers, flip through the books, and find hidden treasures. Unfortunately, I haven’t been in a bookstore in a year, and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to do that again.

4 – Do you have a favourite bookshop?

Indigo is the major bookstore chain in Canada, and it’s my go-to for buying new books. There are a few indie bookstores in my city that I love browsing, but unfortunately, they don’t really carry romance novels, which is probably my most purchased genre.

5 – Do you pre-order books?

I pre-order books all of the time. Indigo offers a lot of bonus plum points for pre-ordering books, and plum points equal free books, which is something I am always interested in.

6 – Do you have a monthly buying limit?

I’m fortunate enough that I don’t have to set myself a monthly buying limit right now.

7 – How big is your wishlist?

My wishlist is never-ending. I’m constantly hearing about new books or different editions of favourites, and onto the wishlist they go!

8 – Which three books from your wishlist do you wish to own right now?

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune

The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles
