5 On My TBR – Love

5 On my TBR Love Banner

Hello Everyone!

5 on my TBR is a weekly meme that’s hosted by Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Each Monday, there’s a different prompt, and the goal is to list five books on your TBR that fit into the prompt.

This week’s 5 on my TBR prompt is love, which is one of my favourite genres to talk about. I’m easily distracted by romance novels with illustrated covers. Even though I spend a lot of time talking about the romance novels I want to read, I easily picked out five more romances that I want to read at some point soon.

Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev – I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice yet, but I’m looking forward to reading this book. Based on the Goodreads blurb, it looks like this book features enemies-to-lovers and lots of food, and really, what more can I ask for? I also love the covers of the books in this series, and reading this would give me an excuse to buy the other books.

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey – This book is about a rom-com obsessed character who is hoping to experience a real-life meet-cute, and that sounds like a lot of fun. I love romantic comedies, I love meet-cutes, and that makes this book sound very promising. I’m also looking forward to this book because Tom Hanks is one of the few actors that I can easily identify, and the title makes me want to watch a bunch of classic rom-coms.

Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren – My boyfriend bought me this book for Christmas in 2019, and I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. So far, I’m a big fan of Christina Lauren, and this book looks like it’s going to be something that I’ll really enjoy. This book features two people who had a brief whirlwind and disastrous romance, who reunite fourteen years later. The people reuniting years later is a trope that I love, which makes me very excited to read this book.

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey – This book was a cover buy at the grocery store, and it will be my first Tessa Bailey book. I’ve heard that this book is very steamy, but sometimes I like reading books that are relatively mindless and steamy. This book is also another one of those situations where it’s the first book in a series, and I want an excuse to buy the rest of the books because I really like the covers.

No Judgments by Meg Cabot – I’m looking forward to reading this book because the main character makes it her mission to reunite cats and dogs with their owners after a hurricane. I love books that feature cats and dogs, and I love romance novels, so this book looks like it’s going to be great. I’m also excited to finally read something by Meg Cabot because I adored the Princess Diaries movies when I was a kid.
