The Piano Playlist Tag

The Piano Playlist Tag Banner

Hey everyone!

Today is Thursday, which means it’s tag day! Thank you, Danni, at For Book’s Sake, for tagging me to do the Piano Playlist Tag! If you haven’t checked out Danni’s blog, you need to because it’s fantastic.

This tag was originally created by Moi at Bookish Blunders!

Rules:

Post the rules in your post.

Answer all the questions and if you’ve never heard any of the songs, listen to them before you answer the questions.

Link the creator and the person who nominated you (Moi @Bookish Blunders).

Nominate 8 people. Only 8. (Why? There’s no Symphony no. 9, so)

Use the featured image I’ve posted on this tag. (It’s drawn by Moi, and she’d like some recognition)

Beethoven – Moonlight Sonata: A book you read that had an unexpected plot twist near the end

This is a difficult question to answer because I don’t want to spoil anything inadvertently, so I’ll say that, in general, a lot of Agatha Christie’s books have unexpected plot twists near the end.

Lizst – La Campanella: A book that you couldn’t even finish

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich. I love the soundtrack for this musical, but I couldn’t get through how painfully awkward Evan Hansen is in the book, and I ended up DNFing it.

Rimsky-Korsakov – Flight of the Bumblebee: A book that was crazy and chaotic that you couldn’t even figure out what was happening

For some reason, the first book that came to mind for this question was the Crazy Rich Asians series by Kevin Kwan. This series is a lot of fun, but it has its share of crazy and chaotic moments.

Mozart – Rondo Alla Turca: A book that is so over-recommended that everyone and their grandma has read it (it’s still good, though)

I think The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff is recommended a lot, but the series is excellent (especially the audiobooks), and it’s definitely worth reading.

Beethoven – Für Elise: A book that has been one of your favourites for ages

Depending on how you define ages, I’m going to go with The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I read this book a few years ago, which feels like ages ago, and it is still one of my favourites that I constantly recommend to anyone who wants to try getting into romance.

Chopin – Fantaisie-Impromptu: A book that is high up on your to be read list

My TBR is out of control, but I’m looking forward to reading Well Played by Jen DeLuca. I read Well Met last month, and I fell in love with the characters and Willow Creek, and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this trilogy soon.

Beethoven – Sonata No. 17 “Tempest” 3rd Movement: A book that you love but isn’t that well-known

I absolutely adored The Beast and the Bethany by Jack Meggitt-Phillips, which isn’t that well known based on the number of Goodreads ratings. This middle-grade book is dark and fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

Mozart – Eine Kleine Nachtmusik: A book that is extremely long, but you still like it

I can’t think of a book for this question because I very rarely read books over 500 pages.

Debussy – Clair De Lune: A book that was wonderful from start to finish

Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston was fantastic from start to finish, and I cannot wait for the next book in the trilogy.
