New Year’s Book Tag

New Year Book Tag Banner

Hello Everyone!

Today is Thursday, which means it’s time for a book tag! I saw the New Year’s Book Tag over on The Book Dutchesses, and I knew that I wanted this to be my first book tag of the year! If you haven’t checked out Candyce’s and Isabelle’s blog, you need to follow them now!

How many books are you planning to read in 2022?

This year I set my reading goal to 52 books, though I’m definitely hoping to read more than that!

Name 5 books that you didn’t get to this past year but want to make a priority in 2022.

There are a ton of romance books that I wanted to read in 2021, but I didn’t get to before the year was over. The first five of these books that come to mind are:

Well Played by Jen Deluca

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade

Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle

What genre do you want to read more of?

I don’t have any specific genres that I want to read more of in 2022, but I do want to read more middle-grade books, more graphic novels, and more books by indie authors.

Name 3 not-related-to-book goals for 2022

I usually don’t set any non-book related goals for the year, but for some reason, I set two non-bookish goals for 2022, they are:

Take better care of myself and relax; and

Focus on joy

What’s a book you have had forever and are determined to read?

I feel like most of my shelves fall into this category, but if I have to pick one book, I will say the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber.

One word that you’re hoping 2022 will be

How am I supposed to pick one word for this question? I think, if I have to pick one word, I’m going to say bliss.
