Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my weekly wrap-up where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.
Bookish Updates
This week, I finished my first book of the year, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to discussing it with my book club at the end of the month.
This week I started reading Frostheart by Jamie Littler and The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Both of these books are fantastic so far and I’m looking forward to reading more of them.
As far as book mail goes, a few of the books that I ordered in December arrived this week, including One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus and Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe.
I also received two ARCs in the mail from Harper Collins Canada this week! I can’t wait to dive into both Lulu and Milagro’s Search for Clarity by Angela Velez and One True Loves by Elsie Bryant.
Finally, yesterday I posted the announcement for the January readathon hosted by the TBR Tackle Challenge. If you’re interested in joining one of the group chats for that, let me know on the post and I’ll get that sorted!
Life Updates
Once again, my life isn’t all that exciting. This was my first week back at work after being off for the holiday season, and I’m already impatiently waiting for the next long weekend. To make things slighty more exciting, and comfier, I caved and finally ordered an Oodie! I got the ones with quokkas on it and I cannot wait for it to arrive.
Ontario is essentially in another lockdown, a bunch of things are closed, restaurants are take-out only, and retailers are operating at 50% capacity. Things aren’t changing very much for me with this lockdown, I’m still going into the office every day, and the last time I ate inside at a restaurant was March 15, 2020.
I also spent a decent amount of time this week looking up new dinner ideas and I have two recipes that I’m hoping to try this week. If they turn out well, I’ll let you know during next week’s wrap-up.
