Weekly Wrap-Up – 16 January 2022

Weekly Wrap Up Banner

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

Bookish Updates

This week, I finished reading The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, The A.B.C. Murders by Agatha Christie, and Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe. I really enjoyed The Love Hypothesis, and I’m looking forward to reading more books by Ali Hazelwood later this year. Unfortunately, I found The A.B.C. Murders underwhelming, but I enjoyed seeing our old friend Hastings again. I also really enjoyed Lore Olympus, and I’m planning on following the webcomic, so I can find out what happens next.

This week I started reading False Value by Ben Aaronovitch. As of writing this post, I’ve only read seven pages of it, but they were an enjoyable seven pages.

I did not add any physical books to my collection this week, but I did receive an ARC of Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting through NetGalley this week.

We also planned the February prompts for the TBR Tackle Challenge this weekend, and they should be going live next Saturday!

Life Updates

Unsurprisingly, my life is not that exciting this week. Work is work. This week, I made a few tasty things for dinner, like a sheet pan chicken veggie teriyaki thing.

On Thursday, my Oodie arrived, and it is by far one of the better purchases I have made. It’s so warm and cozy, and I’m planning on living in it all winter long.

I had a video date with my two former roommates from university on Friday night. We discussed The Love Hypothesis and spent a few hours just catching up with each other. It was a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to doing it again next month.
