Hello everyone!

This week’s Top Five Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books That Changed My Life, which was difficult to write about. I have read so many amazing books, and countless books have stuck with me throughout the years. Narrowing this list down to five books was quite the task, but I’m happy with my list.

The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket – Up first on my list of life-changing books is The Bad Beginning. When I was in elementary school, my grade six teacher suggested that I try reading A Series of Unfortunate Events, and this is the series that got me hooked on reading. Before falling into this series, I liked books, but this book turned that like into love and all of the bookworm habits that come with it.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is one of my favourite books, and my blog name is inspired by it. This book came into my life in high school when my brother lent it to me. I love the characters in this book and all of the humour. I also love how references to this book come up in so many other books. It’s definitely one of my favourites, and I’m due for a reread soon.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne The Hating Game changed my life because it’s the book that got me into romance. I used to be hesitant to pick up romance novels because I had a lot of misconceptions about the genre. But, after seeing this book everywhere on Bookstagram, I made an impulse buy at the bookstore, and the rest is history. Romance is now one of my favourite genres, and I am so glad I took a chance on this book.

Magic Unleashed by Devri Walls Magic Unleashed changed my life because it was the first blog tour I did with The Write Reads. This book was amazing, but it changed my life because it led to so many amazing things. The Write Reads gang has become my second family. I have discovered so many amazing books and authors through the tours, and I have become friends with so many of the bloggers that are part of the gang. I really don’t know what I would do without this group in my life.

The Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar The Ship of Shadows changed my life because it got me into middle-grade books as an adult. I love how magical and fun middle-grade books are. I usually struggle with fantasy books, but middle-grade books tend to have the perfect amount of magic, and I love them. Now I try to squeeze in at least one middle-grade book a month with the Middle-Grade Marvels Book Club.

Also, I’m so pleased you tried The Hating Game — it’s one of my fave romances, and I love it extra because the author lives in my city!!
Hope you had fun this week 💕
