Weekly Wrap-Up – 30 January 2022

Weekly Wrap Up Banner

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

Bookish Updates

This was another bad reading week for me. On Thursday, I finished reading Frostheart by Jamie Littler. I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy soon. Other than that, I’m still working on reading False Value by Ben Aaronovitch and I made a solid dent in Revenge of the Beast by Jack Meggitt-Phillips.

Life Updates

This week was much less chaotic at work than last week, which was lovely because there’s only so much chaos I can handle.

In more personal news, some of you may know that I recently broke up with my long-term boyfriend. It was a mutual breakup because we realized that we had just grown too far apart and that our relationship over the past year was more like a friendship than a relationship anyway. I mention this old news because I have a bit of new romance in my life. An old friend and I have started seeing each other. We’re taking things slow and we’re not defining or labelling anything yet, but it’s nice to have a bit of romance in my life again.

In other news, it’s been very cold here this past week. I’m still walking to work every day, which is not something I necessarily recommend, but at least I’m getting my steps in.

I am also happy to say that I have set up an Amazon Associate account, which means my future blog posts will contain affiliate links. These links will be marked and posts that contain them will have a disclaimer at the bottom.

On Friday night I attended one of the virtual book clubs that I’m part of. None of us read the books, but it was still nice catching up with everyone.

Finally, this is my 30th day of posting in a row and I am extremely proud of myself! Fingers crossed that my 30 day milestone can turn into 50 and eventually 100!

What I’ve Been Listening To

I’m still on a Scotty McCreery kick this week, specifically I’ve been listening to Five More Minutes, This Is It, and Damn Strait on repeat.
