Hello everyone!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
This week’s Top Five Tuesday topic is Books I Want to Reread in 2022. This was a difficult topic to write about because even though there are plenty of books that I want to reread this year, I really shouldn’t because my TBR is out of control. That being said, I tend to ignore my TBR, and I’m hoping to squeeze in these five rereads this year.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – This book is technically on my February TBR, but at this point, I don’t think I’m going to get to it before the month is over. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was such an amazingly well-written story, and I want to revisit the characters and the old Hollywood setting again. I’ve also heard excellent things about the audiobook for this book, so when I reread it, I think I will listen to the audiobook to experience the story in a new way.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke – I read Inkheart when I was in grade 6, about seventeen years ago. I don’t remember much about the story. Still, I remember loving it and the magical world it takes place in. I’ve been saying that I’m going to reread this book for years now, but I think this might be the year I get to it since I’ve gotten really into middle-grade books lately. If I get to Inkheart this year, I’m also determined to reread Inkspell and finally read Inkdeath, which is probably the oldest unread book on my shelves.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams – Unsurprisingly, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is one of my favourite books, and I think I’m overdue for a reread. For a while, I was rereading this book every year around Towel Day (May 25th), but then I stopped doing that because so many other things got in the way. I’m hoping that I can start the tradition again and revisit Arthur Dent and all of the other characters this year.

This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper – I read this book when I was in University, and I remember it being laugh-out-loud funny. I remember bits and pieces of the story, but I think it would be fun to revisit it and reread it properly. It would also give me an excuse to rewatch the film which stars Tina Fey, and I am always up for watching a Tina Fey movie.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – I really do not have time to reread any romance novels because the pile of unread romance novels on my shelf is getting dangerous. That being said, I love The Hating Game, and I want to revisit Lucy and Josh. The banter in this book is just so enjoyable, and I love the two main characters. I also want to revisit the breakfast scene because I aspire to have a moment like that one day in my life, it likely won’t happen because I am not that bold, but it is one of my life goals.

Oh, I loved The Hating Game. It’s a common reread for me from the romance genre. Did you see the film adaptation yet? It’s not bad (but I will usually prefer the book more if I read it first 😅).
Hope you had fun this week!! 💕
