Hello everyone!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
March is a scavenger hunt month for Top Five Tuesday, which has been a lot of fun, even if it’s been a bit difficult. This week’s prompt is books with jewels, which turned out to be a lot easier to write about than the last two Top Five Tuesday prompts. A lot of the books I thought of for this prompt happen to be part of a series, so prepare to see a lot of book covers today.
The Inheritance Games Trilogy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes – The first book that I thought of when I saw this week’s prompt was the Inheritance Games Trilogy. I absolutely adore the North American covers of this series because it feels like they’re full of secrets, and there’s always something new to notice. All three of these covers have some sort of jewels on them, and the colours of the cover scream emerald/sapphire/ruby. Now I’m wondering if these colours refer to any of the character’s birthstones or if they’re just pretty colours that go together well. I also cannot wait to read The Final Gambit when it’s released later this year.
If you’re interested, you can purchase The Inheritance Games from Amazon* here, The Hawthorne Legacy from Amazon* here, and you can preorder The Final Gambit from Amazon* here.
The Wedding Date Series by Jasmine Guillory – Not all of the books in this series have jewels on the cover, but a few of them do. The jewels on these covers are a bit more subtle compared to the other books on my list, but I love these covers, so I wanted to include them. On The Wedding Date we have Alexa’s earrings; on The Wedding Party we have Maddie’s jewelry; and on While We Were Dating we have Anna’s jewelry. I’ve only read the first three books in this series, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of it.
If you’re interested, you can purchase The Wedding Date from Amazon* here, The Wedding Party from Amazon* here, and While We Were Dating from Amazon* here.
Of Curses and Kisses by Sandhya Menon – I absolutely adored this book, and then they had the audacity to completely change the covers for the second book, which has caused me to procrastinate reading the second book in this series. Despite not liking the new cover, I do like that the centre of the rose has a very pretty jewel in it, which makes it work perfectly for this week’s prompt.
If you’re interested, you can purchase a copy of Of Curses and Kisses from Amazon* here.
Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy by Kevin Kwan – This trilogy was so much fun, and I love the covers of this series. You have the blue (possibly Sapphire) earring and string of pearls on the cover of Crazy Rich Asians, the red (possibly Ruby) earrings and necklace on the cover of China Rich Girlfriend, and the earring on the cover of Rich People Problems. These books are also full of ridiculously rich people and mentions of jewelry, which makes them perfect for a list about jewels.
If you’re interested, you can purchase a copy of Crazy Rich Asians from Amazon* here, China Rich Girlfriend from Amazon* here, and Rich People Problems from Amazon* here.
Winterhouse Trilogy by Ben Guterson  – I read Winterhouse last month, and I absolutely loved it. My copies of The Secrets of Winterhouse and The Winterhouse Mysteries arrived yesterday, and I’m planning on diving into them as soon as possible. In this series, the main character Elizabeth has a necklace that she wears all the time. I cannot remember if the necklace has any jewels involved, but it does show up around Elizabeth’s neck on all of the covers of this book.
If you’re interested, you can purchase a copy of Winterhouse from Amazon* here, The Secrets of Winterhouse from Amazon* here, and The Winterhouse Mysteries from Amazon* here.

Huh. I do not have that cover for Of Curses and Kisses, and my copy of Of Princes and Promises wouldn’t match it either, but it is very pretty!! (Mine are also severely lacking in jewels, so that’s a problem too 😂) Nice job overall this week — you have some great covers!!
Good luck with next week (and sorry in advance)!!
