Days of the Week Book Tag

Days of the Week Banner

Hello Everyone!

It’s Thursday, which means it’s book tag day! Today I’m doing the Days of the Week Book Tag. I found this tag on Ellie Mai’s blog, it looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to tag myself. It looks like this tag was created by Adventures Between Pages.

Secret Book Sunday – What book or series do you secretly love but you don’t always tell people?

I can’t think of any books or series that I secretly love because I’m pretty open about what books I like. However, there are books that I love that I don’t talk about nearly enough. For example, I love A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, but I think it’s been a while since I’ve talked about how much I love it.

Mash Up Monday – What two books or series do you think would be cool if they were mashed up as one?

I think it would be cool if an Agatha Christie style mystery happened in the Well Met universe created by Jen DeLuca. I love the setting of the Ren Faire and I think it would be a lot of fun to see characters dressed as pirates, tavern wenches, and knights caught up in a mystery like that.

Trilogy Tuesday – What is your favourite trilogy?

The Truly Devious trilogy by Maureen Johnson is my favourite trilogy. I know that she’s since released a fourth book with these characters, but I’m going to keep referring to the first three books as a trilogy because the story carries through all three books, whereas the most recent book can be read as a standalone.

Wacky Wednesday – What book has the wackiest story or the wackiest cover?

The most recent wacky cover I’ve come across is Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris, though I’m still not sure if I want to call the cover wacky or creepy.

Happy Go Lucky

Throwback Thursday – What book or series brings back memories from your past?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky always brings up memories of high school. This was my favourite book in high school and it’s still somewhere in my top ten favourites today. I’ve read this book so many times and there’s something about that bright greenish/yellow cover that always brings me back to the past.

Freaky Friday – What book freaked you out the most or what cover?

The most recent freaky book that I’ve read was Dread Wood by Jennifer Killick. This middle-grade horror story was very creepy and it has me looking at greenspaces much differently since I’ve read it. If you’re curious, you can read my full review of Dread Wood here.

Shelfie Saturday – Post a picture of your favourite bookshelf, couple of shelves or an entire bookcase!

My shelves are a bit of a mess right now, but here’s a picture of my main bookshelf.
