Hello everyone!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
This week’s Top 5 Tuesday is Books About a Wedding. This topic was much easier to write about than last week’s topic and I had a lot of fun brainstorming books to talk about this week.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan – Crazy Rich Asians was the first book I thought of when I saw this week’s prompt because it features a massive wedding. In this book, Nicholas brings his girlfriend, Rachel, home to Singapore to attend the wedding of the season and Rachel is thrown headfirst into the world of the crazy rich. This entire series is a lot of fun and the wedding in this book was incredible.

The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory – Initially, I was going to talk about The Wedding Date for this list, but I think The Wedding Party is a bit more fitting because it has more of a wedding focus. In this book, Maddie and Theo who happen to hate each other, are thrown headfirst into wedding planning when their best friend is getting married. Sparks fly, romance ensues, and it’s a great book.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – The Hating Game isn’t wedding-focused, but it does feature a wedding near the end of the book. I really need to reread this one because I don’t remember all of the details about the wedding, but I do know that the breakfast scene after the wedding is one of my favourites.

Four Aunties and a Wedding by Jesse Q. Suntanto – I haven’t read this one yet, but it is about a wedding. This book is about Meddy’s wedding and if it’s anything like Dial A for Aunties, hilarity and shenanigans will ensure. I’m hoping to read this one soon because I know it will make me laugh out loud while I’m reading.

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle – You Deserve Each Other is one of my favourite romance books. Nicholas and Naomi are engaged, but they are sick of each other, and they don’t want to get married. The catch is that whoever ends the engagement, will be stuck with the non-refundable wedding bills. What follows is an all-out battle to see who can get the other to call off the wedding. This lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers again is so much fun and I love the characters in this book.
