Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.
This week, I finally finished reading Skandar and the Unicorn Thief by A.F. Steadman! It was really enjoyable, I loved the characters, and I’m hoping that my review will be up tomorrow. I also started reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry and read more of Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega.
I actually have some life updates this week!
This week was a four-day workweek because Monday was a holiday. I could definitely get used to a four-day workweek, even though it does make things slightly more chaotic at work.
On Sunday night, I stayed over at my friend’s house. We had a few drinks and we finally watched Death on the Nile. I enjoyed the movie, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Poirot story they adapt next.
On Monday, I did a bunch of yard work. We have this little garden near our driveway that has been very overgrown for years and I’m finally making some progress on cleaning it up.
On Wednesday, I watched the season finale of Survivor. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I’m very happy with the winner and I thought this season was excellent.
On Saturday, my friend came over and we sat in the backyard and caught up for a few hours. I also made a charcuterie board, which was delicious.
