Hello Everyone!
I can’t believe that it’s already June. This year is flying by, and I’m not sure how I feel about that.
May was not a good reading month for me, I only managed to read two books. This month, I’m taking the pressure off of myself and I’m not setting much of a TBR. I do have a handful of books that I’m supposed to be buddy reading or reading for various book clubs this month, so I’m going to talk about those instead. I’m not sure if I’m actually going to read all of these books, but I’m cautiously optimistic that I’ll at least try.
Also, just a reminder that I help host the TBR Tackle Challenge. If you’re looking to get your TBR under control this year, check out the TBR Tackle Challenge on Instagram, and if you’re curious about the June prompts, you can read my post about them here!
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo – This is the current pick for the book club that I host for some of my friends. The theme for this book club was food and this is the book that we decided on. I started reading this one last night and I love it so far. I’m hoping that I’ll have it done soon because it’s very easy to read and I love the writing.
Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi – This is one of the two books that the Middle Grade Marvels book club is reading this month. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now and I was super excited when it got picked this month. My copy of this book arrived yesterday and I cannot wait to dive in.
The Train to Impossible Place by P.G. Bell – This is the other book that the Middle Grade Marvels book club is reading this month. I haven’t heard of this one before, but it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah – This is the June book for the book club that I’m in that meets virtually at the end of every month. I haven’t read anything by Kristin Hannah yet, but I’ve been wanting to check out her books for a while now. I’m not super optimistic that I’m going to finish this one before the end of the month because it’s so large, but I’m going to try to make a dent in it.
So, those are the books that I’m hopefully going to buddy read or book club read this month. I’m hopefully going to read more than this, but we will see!
