Hello everyone!

August is another scavenger hunt month for Top 5 Tuesday and I am loving it! This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books with Crowns! This was one of the easier scavenger hunt topics and I enjoyed exploring my shelves to find five books to talk about today.

The Inheritance Games Trilogy by Jennifer Lynn BarnesAll three books in this trilogy have a crown on the cover, which make it the perfect set of books to start out with for this week’s scavenger hunt. I talk about this series a lot because it’s one of my favourites. It’s full of amazing characters and lots of twists and turns. I’m very excited for the final book in the trilogy, which is coming out in a few weeks.

Well Played by Jen DeLuca – This is one of the many books on my TBR. Well Met is one of my favourite romance novels, but I still haven’t gotten around to reading the rest of the books in this series. This book, which has a tiny crown doodle on the cover, follows Stacey, who I adored in Well Met. I don’t know when I’m going to read this book, but I’m hoping I get to it soon.

Well Played

Undercover Princess by Connie Glynn – This is one of my favourite reads of the year so far. This is the first book in the series, and it is such a great start to the series. This book features a prestigious boarding school and a secret princess, and it was so much fun to read. I don’t know when I’m going to get around to reading the rest of the series, but I’m looking forward to it when I do.

Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston – This is one of my favourite covers of 2020 and I always feel a bit of joy when I look at it. I don’t remember much about what happens in this book, but I remember enjoying it and being invested in the characters’ well-being. I also remember that the ending was kind of open, and I wonder if one day there will be another book set in this universe.

Among the Beasts and Briars

The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett – This novella is very bookish and I enjoyed it very much. This book is about the Queen falling in love with books and literature, and becoming so obsessed with reading that she starts neglecting her other duties. I read this novella a while ago, so I don’t remember much about it, but I do remember loving it.
