Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

August is another scavenger hunt month for Top 5 Tuesday and I am loving it! This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books with Swords! Like last week, this was one of the easier scavenger hunt topics and I enjoyed exploring my shelves to find five books to talk about today.

The Inheritance Games Trilogy by Jennifer Lynn BarnesSimilar to last week, all three books in this trilogy have a sword on the cover, which make it the perfect set of books to start out with for this week’s scavenger hunt. I think I’ve been able to use a book from this series three weeks in a row now, and I’m hoping I can somehow fit it in next week.

Well Met by Jen DeLuca Well Met is one of my favourite romance books and it takes place at a Renaissance Faire. One of the main characters in this book is a pirate, so of course, there are swords involved. I haven’t read the rest of the books in this series yet, but I’m hoping that I get to them soon because I love the Renaissance Faire setting.

Well Met

The League for Gentlewomen Witches by India Holton – This is a book on my never-ending TBR. This is the second book in a historical romance series, and it looks so much fun. I love the idea of witches and pirates and all of the magical things that could happen.

Gentlewomen Witches

Zachary Ying and the Dragon Emperor by Xiran Jay Zhao – This magical middle grade book is on my September TBR and I’m looking forward to reading it. I don’t know much about this book, but I do know that it’s inspired by Chinese mythology. I also like that this book has a video game component to it, and I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun to read.

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan – Even though I’m a fan of middle-grade, I haven’t read this series yet, which is slightly embarrassing. I don’t know much about this series in general, but I do know that I want to read it before the tv show comes out. This cover also features a sword on it, which makes it the perfect choice to end this list with.
