T5T Bones Banner

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books with Bones! This was another difficult scavenger hunt theme, but I did enjoy searching for books to fit this prompt. Overall, I enjoyed the scavenger hunts this month and I cannot wait for the next scavenger hunt month.

With Fire in Their Blood by Kat Delacorte – This is my current read and it happens to have a skull on the cover. I’m still not very far into this one, so I can’t say much about why there’s a skull on the cover, but I will say that I really enjoy this cover.

The Ship of Shadows by Maria KuzniarTechnically, this book does not have bones on its cover, but there’s a skull on the flag of the ship and I’m going to use it for this prompt. This magical middle grade book is absolutely fantastic and I really need to find time to read Secrets of the Stars.

Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab – This middle grade book partly takes place in the catacombs in Paris, and it features a ton of bones on the cover. I’m hoping to read this book around Halloween this year, since it’s a spooky book. One fun fact is that I’ve been to the catacombs in Paris, and it was one of the creepiest experiences of my life.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco – I haven’t read this book, but my friend read it and really enjoyed it. I don’t know much about this series, but I do enjoy the covers of this series and the skulls on the covers.

The Weed That Strings the Hangman’s Bag by Alan Bradley – Last but not least is the second book in the Flavia de Luce series. This is another book that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet, even though I enjoyed the first book in this series. I have no idea when I’ll read this one, but I do love how colourful the covers are in this series.
