The Last Book I…

The Last Book I Icon

Hello Everyone!

Today is Thursday, which is book tag day! Today I’m doing The Last Book I… book tag, which I saw on Elle’s wonderful blog! I’m not quite sure who created this tag, but it was a lot of fun and I appreciate their hard work in creating it! Like normal, I’m not tagging anyone specific, so if you see this, consider yourself tagged.

The last book I bought:

Technically I bought three books this week because some of my most anticipated releases came out on Tuesday. I picked up Amari and the Great Game by B.B. Alston, The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

The last book I borrowed:

I think the last book I borrowed was The Rose Code by Kate Quinn from my sister-in-law. I still haven’t read this one yet, so I should probably get to it before they return from vacation.

The last book I was gifted:

I actually don’t know what the last book I was gifted was. I usually buy my own books because no one knows what books I have or they think I have too many books and I couldn’t possibly need more (those people are wrong).

The last book I gave to someone else:

I recently lent my copy of Book Lovers by Emily Henry to one of my friends. She was talking about how she wanted to try reading Emily Henry and I had recently put Book Lovers in my DNF for now pile, so her timing was perfect.

The last book I started:

The last book I started was The Hidden King by E.G. Radcliff. This is for an upcoming blog tour hosted by the very wonderful The Write Reads.

The last book I finished:

The last book I finished was It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey. I didn’t love this one, but I also didn’t hate it, and I’m looking forward to reading its sequel soon.

The last book I rated 5 stars:

I recently reread The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which I rated 5 stars again.

The last book I DNF’d:

As mentioned above, I recently put Book Lovers by Emily Henry in the DNF for now pile. Grief plays a big part in this story and I just wasn’t in the right mindset to deal with that when I was reading it.

The last book I listened to:

The last book I listened to was Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I don’t listen to audiobooks very often because I lose focus easily, but I picked this one up as an audiobook because I was struggling to finish my physical copy in time for book club.
