Weekly Wrap-Up – 18 September 2022

Weekly Wrap Up Banner

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

I have been a busy bookworm since my last weekly update!

On Thursday, I finished reading Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne which was delightful and weird. On Friday, I finished reading Clean Sweep by E.B. Lee for the blog tour hosted by The Write Reads. On Saturday, I read this week’s section of The Midnight Guardians by Ross Montgomery for the Middle-Grade Marvels book club. On Saturday evening, I also read Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie in one sitting, which was nice because I love reading about Hercule Poirot.

I also added some books to my never-ending TBR this week. My copy of Drunk in Love by Jasmine Guillory arrived in the mail this week. I also picked up The Fortunes of Jaded Women by Carolyn Huynh and Sophie Go’s Lonely Hearts Club by Roselle Lim while I was out running errands on Saturday.

This was a relatively uneventful week.

On Monday, I turned 29 years old. I went to work, I came home, I ordered a pizza, and I had a couple glasses of wine. It was an uneventful day without very much fanfare.

On Tuesday night, technically Wednesday morning, I woke up at around 2:00 a.m. to the sound of shattering glass. It appears that Scamper somehow fell off the kitchen counter and took a wine glass down with him. Scamper is okay and fortunately, I have lots of wine glasses.

The rest of the week was fairly quiet. My boss was out of the office on Wednesday and Thursday, which meant that work was pretty quiet most of the week.
