This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Reasons to Be with a Bookworm! This was another fun topic to write about because I think there are lots of reasons to be with a bookworm.

Bookworms are easy to shop for – Bookworms are very easy to shop for, which makes them wonderful people to be with. You can either buy a bookworm books or give them a gift card to a store that sells books. Either way, they’re guaranteed to be happy with the present because bookworms love books.

Bookworms are easily entertained – Bookworms are easy to entertain, and they usually bring their own entertainment with them. If you aren’t feeling overly chatty, a bookworm will gladly stick their nose in a book and get lost in another world. Bookworms will also gladly spend an afternoon curled up with a book, making weekend plans very easy to sort out.

Bookworms are good at making things fit – This is an oddly phased statement, but I can explain. So many bookworms have overflowing bookshelves and they’re constantly rearranging things so they can fit a few more books on the shelf. This is a skill that can be transferred to other areas of life like packing bags or fitting everything into the trunk of a car.

Bookworms are more empathetic – This is a statement that I’ve seen online a lot, but I haven’t actually read up on any studies about it. The statement does make sense though because bookworms spend their time experiencing different worlds and life experiences and that’s bound to make them more empathetic and understanding to those around them.

Bookworms are fun to be around – Bookworms are just a lot of fun to be around in general. They’ve lived so many lives through reading, and they’ve learned a lot of fun stuff as a result. They have lots of things to talk about, they’re up for adventure, and there really isn’t a dull moment when you’re with a bookworm.
