It’s Thursday, which means it’s tag day! Today is a crisp, fall day, and I’ve decided to do The Cozy Autumn Book Tag. I found this tag on Struck By Stories and it looked like a lot of fun. It looks like this tag was created by The Book Belle on YouTube.
What book always reminds you of fall/autumn?
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson reminds me of fall. The book takes place in the fall and it definitely has some autumn vibes with the mystery at hand.
What is your favourite autumnal book cover?
I haven’t read this yet, but the cover of Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell is one of my favourite autumn book covers.
What is your favourite autumnal drink to read with?
I am a tea person all year round, but in the autumn I like to break out the pumpkin and caramel flavoured black teas.
Do you prefer to read late at night or early in the morning?
I am not a morning person, so I do most of my reading before bed. I also like reading late at night because I like how quiet everything is when it’s dark out.
Halloween is coming! What is your favourite spooky read?
I am generally not a fan of spooky, but I do like The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.
What is the ultimate comfort read for you?
Right now, my go to choice for comfort reading is anything featuring Poirot by Agatha Christie. There’s just something comforting about the Belgian detective solving crimes.
What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?
I am pro-baked goods all year round, but in the autumn I indulge in as many pumpkin and apple flavoured goodies as possible.
What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?
In the autumn, I tend to break out all of the baked goods scented candles. The ones that smell like apple pie, or pumpkin cheesecake, or grandma’s kitchen.
When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?
I like going for walks in the autumn. I like seeing the leaves changing colours and it’s refreshing walking in the crisp air while wearing cozy clothing.
What is on your autumn/fall reading list?
There are so many books that I want to read this season! I want to read The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling, I want to read the rest of the Cassidy Blake books by Victoria Schwab, I’d also love to finally read The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson.
