Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic was supposed to be famous quotes I don’t like, but I just couldn’t do it. As I mentioned last week, I’m not much of a quote person and it was too much of a struggle to find famous quotes that I have strong negative feelings about. Instead, I decided to write about some witchy books that are on my TBR instead!

The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling – This witchy book technically isn’t on my TBR because it’s my current read, but I’m including it anyway. After rereading The Ex Hex, I wanted to dive into this witchy book right away. I love the town of Graves Glen, I love the characters in this series, and I am loving this book so far.

The Kiss Curse

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna – I find the blurb for this book to be very intriguing and I’m looking forward to reading this book. I like books with found family and it looks like this book is full of that trope. It also looks like the cast of characters in this book will be quite memorable, which makes me even more excited to dive into this one.

Irregular Witches

The Witches of Moonshyne Manor by Bianca Marais – The blurb line for this book promises a coven of modern-day witches and a magical heist gone wrong, so of course, I’m interested in this book. This book also promises witches that are octogenarians, which sounds like a lot of fun because I’m sure they get into a lot of trouble and fun in this book.

Small Town, Big Magic by Hazel Beck – This is a witchy romance novel, which is something I need more of in my life. It also features a small town bookshop owner who is trying to revitalise their town, which sounds like a lot of fun. One of the things I liked the most about The Ex Hex is that the main characters had to try to save the town and it looks like this book also has that trope in it.

Witchlings by Claribel A. Ortega – Middle-grade and witches, what more could I ask for? This book promises adventure and friendship, with the threat of being turned into a toad. It sounds like a lot of fun and I’m definitely looking forward to reading it.

  1. I don’t do quotes either but didn’t think of just doing a different top 5. The secret society of irregular witches is brilliant so hope that you enjoy it.
