Halloween Book Covers Tag

Halloween Covers Tag Banner

It’s Thursday, which means it’s tag day! Today I’m doing the Halloween Book Covers Tag, which I found on ZeZee with Books! This tag was created by Metaphors & Moonlight. The aim of this tag is to find a book cover for each of the different prompts. This tag was a bit of a challenge, but it was also a lot of fun.

If you see this and you want to jump in on the fun, consider yourself tagged!

SKULL/SKELETON/BONES

Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab has an abundance of skulls on the cover.

PUMPKIN

Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie has a pumpkin on the cover.

BLOOD

It looks like The Appeal by Janice Hallett has blood on the cover. I haven’t read this one yet, but I’ve heard many good things about it and it’s on my TBR.

SPIDERS, BATS, OR OTHER CREEPY CREATURES

Dread Wood by Jennifer Killick has spiders on the cover and I think spiders count as creepy creatures. If you’re interested, here’s my review of Dread Wood.

SOMETHING WITCHY

Crumbs by Danie Stirling features a witch holding a broom on the cover, which definitely counts as something witchy. If you’re interested, here’s my review of Crumbs.

SEVERED BODY PART

This is a bit of a stretch, but Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne kind of has a severed head on the cover. If you’re interested, here’s my review of Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match.

FULL MOON

There’s a full moon on the cover of The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling.

CEMETERY

Unsurprisingly, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman has a cemetery on the cover.

HAUNTED HOUSE

It’s a bit hard to see, but White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson has a haunted house on the cover. If you’re interested, you can read my review of White Smoke here.

GHOST

Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega has lots of ghosts on the cover.

CLASSIC MONSTER (VAMPIRE, WEREWOLF, FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER, ETC.)

Fables: Storybook Love by Bill Willingham has a wolf on the cover. It’s been a while since I’ve read this graphic novel, so let’s just say it’s a werewolf, even though I’m not sure.

CANDY

I haven’t read this one yet, but Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty has candy on the cover.

SOMEONE IN A COSTUME OR MASK

Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan features a character wearing a hot dog costume on the cover.

ORANGE AND BLACK

Skandar and the Unicorn Thief by A.F. Steadman has lots of orange and black on the cover. If you’re interested, here’s my review of Skandar and the Unicorn Thief.

SOMETHING CREEPY

I find the cover of Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris to be very creepy. If you’re interested, here’s my review of Happy-Go-Lucky.
