January Hopefuls

January 2022 Hopefuls Banner

Hello Everyone!

It’s the first of the month, which makes it the perfect time to talk about some of the books I’m hoping to read this month. My hopefuls list for this month is a bit extreme, and I’m definitely forgetting some books, but I’m optimistic that I can make a solid dent in it. I divided this list into two parts, the books I’m reading for the TBR Tackle Challenge and my other picks.

TBR Divide

Starts with A or B

I’m hoping to read The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson for this prompt. This book has been on my TBR for a while now and I think I will feel very accomplished once I finally read it.

New Beginning

I’m hoping to read Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren for this prompt. I’m not entirely sure if this book will fit for this prompt, but I think it will based on the blurb. This is also a buddy read with some of my blogging friends.

I’m hoping to reread Beartown by Fredrik Backman for this prompt. This is the January book for the book club that I host, which is fitting because I’ve been wanting to reread this one for a while now.

I’m hoping to read The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant for this prompt. This book is also the book of the month for the Middle Grade Marvels book club.

Book You’ve Been Putting Off

I’m hoping to read Beyond the Gravy by Mandy Morton for this prompt. This is one of the oldest books on my NetGalley shelf, so reading it will be an accomplishment.

TBR Divide 2

The A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Trilogy by Holly Jackson – I’m hoping to read this trilogy this month. I read A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder a few years ago and I’m looking forward to finally reading the rest of the books in this series.

Holly Jackson

Exes and O’s by Amy Lea – I wasn’t planning on reading this book in January, but my book bestie alerted me of an emergency and now I have to read this book ASAP.

Exes and Os

Sad Cypress by Agatha Christie – One of my goals for 2023 is to finish reading all of the Poirot books and this is the next one on my list.

  1. The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trilogy was one of my last reads of 2023 and are you in for a ride! As Good As Dead is one of the tensest books I’ve read in a while.
