This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic Anticipated Reads for January to March 2023. I haven’t been paying much attention to upcoming releases lately because I’d like to try to focus on my backlist the year instead of getting distracted by all of the shiny new releases. That being said, I did enjoy scoping out the lists of upcoming books and adding a few to my future TBR.
Exes and O’s by Amy Lea (January 10, 2023) – I haven’t read any books by Amy Lea yet, but the premise of this book sounds like so much fun. This book is about a romance novel obsessed female lead going back to all of her exes to try to find out what goes wrong while her male roommate reluctantly agrees to help her. This sounds like the exact kind of thing that I need in my life.
Begin Again by Emma Lord (January 24, 2023) – I’ve been a fan of Emma Lord since I read Tweet Cute a few years ago. Her newest book sounds super cute and I’m looking forward to reading it sometime this year.
Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey (February 7, 2023) – It appears that part of this book takes place at a vineyard, which is enough to make me excited to read it. I read It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey this past summer and it made me want to read more books by Tessa Bailey. This book also promises a grumpy and sunshine dynamic, which is something that I tend to enjoy.
Best Served Hot by Amanda Elliot (February 21, 2023) – This foodie romance sounds absolutely delightful. It looks like it also has a grumpy and sunshine thing going on, with a bit of two people reluctantly being forced to work together which gives me enemies-to-lovers vibes. The premise sounds like a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to checking it out at some point.
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto (March 14, 2023) – I am so excited for this book. I love Dial A for Aunties and Four Aunties and a Wedding and I need more Jesse Q. Sutanto in my life. This book is about a little old lady who decides to try to solve a murder. I’m a fan of cozy mysteries in general and I know that this book will be laugh-out-loud funny and a lot of fun to read.

I hope you end up enjoying all of these! I have high hopes for that Tessa Bailey book, myself.
This is a great list of anticipated reads! I definitely want to get around to Best Served Hot eventually!
