The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is now being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for bloggers to answer during the week. The purpose of the Book Blogger Hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and maybe even receive some new blog followers.
This week’s question is:
What was the first book you read this year?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
Technically, my first book of 2023 was Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This was supposed to be my final read of 2022, but life was busy the week between Christmas and New Year and I only managed to read the first 130 pages or so before the new year hit. My first “full read” of 2023 is Exes and O’s by Amy Lea. I wasn’t planning on reading this book this month, but my book bestie messaged me on New Year’s Eve saying that I had to drop my TBR and dive into this book immediately because it was so good. I am happy to report that she was correct and that I am really enjoying this book so far.
In case you missed it, here’s last week’s Book Blogger Hop where I talk about how many books I read in 2022.

How did you like Carrie Soto? I’m so back and forth on whether or not I wanna read it 😅😂
I enjoyed it! I like TJR’s writing and even though it was tennis heavy, it was still easy to read and get into.
