Top 5 Books I Will Definitely Read This Year

T5T Will Definitely Read in 2023 Banner

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Books I Will Definitely Read This Year. This is a topic that makes me laugh because I looked back on my post from last year and I am proud to say that I read zero of the books I said I would definitely read. I put a little bit more thought into this year’s picks and I’m cautiously optimistic that I’ll be able to check most, if not all of these, off of my TBR this year.

Set on You by Amy Lea

I read Exes and O’s by Amy Lea earlier this month and I loved it. I picked up a copy of Set on You from Book Outlet late last year and I’m going to try to make it a priority this year. I’m looking forward to reading Crystal’s story because I enjoyed the glimpses of Crystal and Scott that I got in Exes and O’s.

Set on You

The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman

I read The Thursday Murder Club last year and I am determined to carry on with this series. I loved Joyce and the rest of the crime solving gang and I want to read about their next adventure. I’m also hoping to read The Bullet That Missed this year, but that depends on when it is released in paperback here in Canada.

The Man Who Died Twice

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Legends and Lattes and I am very curious about it. I like the idea of a cozy fantasy and just hanging out in a coffee shop with a bunch of characters. I’ve read and enjoyed a few other cozy fantasy books, and I’m looking forward to exploring this genre more.

Legends and Lattes

Bluebird by Genevieve Graham

I’ve been wanting to read Bluebird since it was released but I kept on putting it off. What interests me most in this story is that a large part of it takes place in the area that I live and I think it would be cool to see this area on the page. I also think that the prohibition and rum runner’s era is quite cool, so I’m looking forward to reading and learning more about that time period.

Bluebird

99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne

I have a lot of romance books on my TBR that I’m hoping to finally read this year. Near the top of that list is 99 Percent Mine. The Hating Game is one of my favourite books and for some reason, I keep on procrastinating and I still haven’t picked this one up yet. I’m optimistic that this will be the year that I finally read it.
