Weekly Wrap-Up – 22 January 2023

Weekly Wrap Up Banner

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

Weekly Wrap 1

Since my last weekly wrap-up I finished reading A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson and Irex by Carl Rackman. Both of these mysteries were quite enjoyable. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was a reread for me and I’m hoping to pick up the second book before the end of the month. I read Irex for a blog tour and my review will be up tomorrow.

At the moment, I’m not reading anything, but I’m hoping to finally pick up The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant this afternoon.

I did not add any books to my collection this week, which I am counting as a win.

Weekly Wrap 2

This was a fairly busy week for me.

On Sunday, I had dinner with my boyfriend. He ordered a burger and I ordered a chicken wrap, both of which were delicious.

On Tuesday, my friend Catherine from Hot Pepper Latte interviewed me for her blog series “lattes with ladies”. We had a great conversation, and her post should be up in a few weeks.

On Wednesday, my dad and I went to my aunt’s house with my brother and sister-in-law for dinner.

On Friday, my day was filled with pure chaos. I walk to work most mornings and when I turned onto the street my workplace is on, I saw a ton of firetrucks and emergency vehicles. As I got closer, I realized that all of the commotion was right next to the building I work in, as there was a fire at the restaurant next door to us. I had to ask a firefighter if I was allowed to go to work, unfortunately, he said yes and let me get to our building. Fortunately, there wasn’t any damage to our building and we just had to open up the windows to air it out a bit. To the best of my knowledge, no one was injured as a result of the fire and I’m sure I will hear more about it on Monday.
