Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Series I Will Start in 2023. This topic wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. There are a lot of series that I would like to finish this year, but I haven’t given much thought about what series I want to start this year. Fortunately, I have a lot of series sitting on my shelves and here are some I want to start this year.

Dangerous Damsels Series by India HoltonThis historical romance series looks like a lot of fun. First of all, the titles are amazing and they promise scoundrels and witches and treason. I’ve also heard great things about these books and I enjoy romances that feature badass female leads.

The Wisteria Society for Lady Scoundrels

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan This is going to be the year that I finally read the Percy Jackson books. I didn’t read this series when it came out, then I moved away from middle grade books, but now I’m an adult who loves middle grade fantasy and I think it’s time for me to read this series. I’m also looking forward to this series because I’ve been wanting to dive into the world of Rick Riordan for a while now and this seems like the best series to start with.

Lightning Thief

One of Us is Lying Series by Karen M. McManusI’ve read two Karen M. McManus books so far and I enjoyed them enough to purchase the rest of her books. I like how twisty her mysteries are and I’m looking forward to finally reading One Of Us Is Lying and One of  Us is Next. The third book in this series is coming out later this year, so hopefully I can time it so I can read all three books close together.

One of Us is Lying

The Brown Sisters Series by Talia HibbertI have a lot of unread romance series that I want to get to, but this one is near the top of my list. I’ve only heard good things about this series and I’m curious to see if it’s as good and as steamy as everyone says it is.

Chloe Brown

Amira & Hamza Series by Samira AhmedI have the first two books in this series sitting on my NetGalley shelf and I really want to read them this year. This series looks like a lot of fun, and I want to get my NetGalley a bit more under control so this would be killing two birds with one stone.

  1. Yes yes yes to the Dangerous Damsels series! I read the second one as an ARC last year and loved it. And I have the first one sitting on my Kindle. No idea if Berkley will approve me for book 3, but one can hope. I think you’ll really like this series. The witty banter is top notch.

  2. I’m hoping to finish Percy Jackson this year — maybe we can make it a Riordan readalong!! Great list though, I hope you love these (I especially loved the Brown Sisters books) 💕
