This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Series I Will Start in 2023. This topic wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. There are a lot of series that I would like to finish this year, but I haven’t given much thought about what series I want to start this year. Fortunately, I have a lot of series sitting on my shelves and here are some I want to start this year.
Dangerous Damsels Series by India Holton – This historical romance series looks like a lot of fun. First of all, the titles are amazing and they promise scoundrels and witches and treason. I’ve also heard great things about these books and I enjoy romances that feature badass female leads.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan – This is going to be the year that I finally read the Percy Jackson books. I didn’t read this series when it came out, then I moved away from middle grade books, but now I’m an adult who loves middle grade fantasy and I think it’s time for me to read this series. I’m also looking forward to this series because I’ve been wanting to dive into the world of Rick Riordan for a while now and this seems like the best series to start with.
One of Us is Lying Series by Karen M. McManus – I’ve read two Karen M. McManus books so far and I enjoyed them enough to purchase the rest of her books. I like how twisty her mysteries are and I’m looking forward to finally reading One Of Us Is Lying and One of Us is Next. The third book in this series is coming out later this year, so hopefully I can time it so I can read all three books close together.
The Brown Sisters Series by Talia Hibbert – I have a lot of unread romance series that I want to get to, but this one is near the top of my list. I’ve only heard good things about this series and I’m curious to see if it’s as good and as steamy as everyone says it is.
Amira & Hamza Series by Samira Ahmed – I have the first two books in this series sitting on my NetGalley shelf and I really want to read them this year. This series looks like a lot of fun, and I want to get my NetGalley a bit more under control so this would be killing two birds with one stone.
